supernatural phenomena
*coughs* .. I didn't get a reply the first time this was asked... *cough cough cough*
anyways:
I can't remember if it was asked before, but are ghosts allowed? They would be great "monsters" for the unexplored testing grounds..
And I don't see why not, when we have vampires, and demons (and a poltergeist could be considered a demon)
We could have poltergeists (the shadow side) or apparitions (the holy side). Or there could be no "side".. the ghost sentenced to walk the earth until s/he finishes her unfinished business..
Or the guardian angel type.. I'm babbling, but you see what I mean. There's plenty of restrictions to be put on ghosts if you fear them being "too powerful"
More on the supernatural stuff..
Since there are gypsies, and grounded gypsies in Synarin, are psychics allowed? how about mediums? Would palm reading and tarot be allowed????
I'm thinking you could tie that stuff with spirit magic..?
And speaking of...
On the magic page, it clearly outlines that "Users tend to gravitate towards the attributes of their primaries after learning."
Does this apply to Ki magic as well?
obviously the test is personalized, the ki is of the spirit..
so the type of ki magic would be a reflection of the person
So..
Since Ki magic comes from one's own strength then wouldn't it alter the users personality? Or make an aspect of their personality come out? Like someone dedicated could wonder why they were dedicated in fire, to find that it was to make them speak out more if they were a really shy person.
It would be something to keep in mind for everyone who wants to get their character dedicated..
..if it applies, of course! ^_^
Alright, thanks a bunch if you listened to me this far!!

As far as I'm concerned Ghosts are fine on Aeterna. There are other kinds of undead too, but most undead, i should think either serve the shadow or have been bound here by some sort of grief. Like normal ghosts and the like.
As far as the "good" ghosts are concerned, there are none. The Creator works her ways on Aeterna either directly or through her earthly agents, (this includes 3 ranks of angels which I have yet to determine, ask later if you really want to know).
Ki magic does not effect the users as Terra magic does for the simple reason that the power source for their magic is not passed though a filter as mana must be before it can be used. Thus a Terra mages body becomes saturated with the types of mana he uses most often, which in turn effects his body, and mind. Ki energies, drawn from another realm, are all the same, but the ways in which they can be used is that which is different between the four types of dedicated...
(did that make sense to you too?)

Most of the Farai tribes have some innate gift of fortune telling, be it through cards, coins, or scrying. In Gran Adageros, I guess that the gypsies would have the same abilities. I wouldn't hazard my life on a gypsy's tale, but I'd say they're right about 4 out of 10 times, and dead-on about 1 in 20. Just some figures. Of course, this all has to be done by you, since you'd be writing the story, and I don't know why you'd write up a fortune just to be ignored and wrong...

Wow, that's a helluva lot more than I expected. And very useful too, of course! *bows deeply in appreciation*
as for "write up a fortune just to be ignored and wrong..." Well, that could possibly be comic relief.. Maybe some old hag that would have been a buddy of Miss Cleo's in real life could just half-heartedly sell people fortune tellings whose only truth would be the opposite of the fortune or something.
But thank you oh so very much! Everyone gets fortune cookies and chocolate now!
