Arboreal Prowler

Vote: Kill him or ban him 2 votes
Chance for reform 2 votes

Keiru Ruby

As some of you may know, we have a wayward member who is disrespectful, insubordinate, and though he's a good writer, he bends too many rules and refuses to interact with others. Though we could give him the chance to reform, I'm highly skeptical that he would and so I'm in favor of killing him off then banning him from the site.

What say ye?

He's an ass.. I don't like him at all.. Let's flex out muscle and in the respect of "The Choppa" give him the axe!

I had a brief discussion with Emerald and a more lengthy discussion with Til'. Suprisingly Ruby, she though of reconsidering...

Anyhow, it has always been my policy since the beginning of days when it was just Worldmaker, Scriptkeeper, and Sideburns, that a member should not be kicked off the forums until he or she has infringed upon the freedoms of another writer.

Technically, as I understand Prowler's indiscretion, he has not done so as of yet, although he has broken numerous obvious rules.

Therefore, I am in favor of listing his "crimes," so to speak and warning him that, unless he quickly complies, he will be terminated...

But, all in all, I think he should be warned frist and foremost before any official action takes place.

Don't forget Avatar Freeloader!!

I agree with Gassman, though. We can't just axe him because we don't like him (otherwise, you know I would have pulled for more axing at the beginning). Tell him what he's done, give him the chance to strighten up and fly right, and THEN axe him.

Loathe as I am to say this, but he has yet to break any of the few rules I hold above the rest. He has broken the rules of good form, and common decency. Keiru Cobalt is usually the one who is most objective in these matters, and I agree with his position of giving AP a chance.

I suppose it will fall to me to list his crimes. Very well. List them here, as I have neither the time nor the desire to scour his posts.

Oh, and Emerald? Remind me to put a section on the new mainpage about good form and common decency. That way, we can try to avert this debacle.

And Cobalt, I will be the first to strike if I sense for a moment this will erupt in the same fashion as Enfineous' end in the original forums. My contempt for Prowler is thinly veiled.

Okay, everyone, keep an eye out. Halar is another AP character. This is great. Just great. I swear, if he screws up the Fiero like I think he's going to, I may retract my decision to let him live.

(Furthermore, if this does come to killing his character, I'll remove all of his posts from the story threads.)

Sir Prowler, It has been brought to my attention that you have committed several acts that need to either be handled, or may result in your being banned from the boards. The charges against you, as presented by myself, Adjudicator Emerald, are as follows.

1. Fudging the Dedication test when it was clearly stated only two outcomes, other than death, were possible. Silver and I both take partial responsibility, for perhaps it was not completely clear that there are only two outcomes, and that we did not correct you quickly enough.

2. You have spammed in forums, and though spam is not the most uncommon thing on this board, it seems that It was either done in a disrespectful manner, or in a manner that infringed upon others. This was brought to my attention by Keiru Ruby, which leads me to the third charge.

3. You have been disrespectful to Keiru, and though you have never done such to me, I have read PM's that you have sent to Ruby, as well as at least one crack you've made against her in general.

4. You have ignored previously set standards in the world, things that I would classify that as ignorance of knowledge influencing one's story. These occurrences are spread throught your story and include but not limited to: Creating a royalty of Balanum, when no such thing exists, (I know you ammended this problem, yet there are others), your ability to seemingly jump from continent to continent, and ignoring standards set in posts by Til'Sylvanna Evenstar, as well as others within Evisis.

5. Finally, there is the simple fact that your character is extremely powerful, and yet he seems to have no drawbacks. He has the ability to kill many, many men, and come out with but a scratch. He can pass through Evisis without being killed by wolf or Elwain, though he is human, and enemy to both of the clans, is a huge power in itself. Many have complained that though most of the stories within Aeterna bend the rules of reality, your story breaks the rules.

Some examples follow, all direct quotes made by you:

"In fact, [Aboreal Prowler] kills almost as many people in the Woods (Evisis) as the wolves (Fiero) do."

"Sometimes they're (the rangers) foolish enough to attack a caravan with an escort, and end up getting cut down by horsemen. However, they are almost invincible in the forest, like the Arboreal Prowler is. Even a disciplined army (such as Tibaron's) can not get through the Evisis Woods at night without suffering severe casualties."

"All the Rangers attacked the Prowler at once, but he fought with incredible skill. No man could have possibly fought off that many men so easily. Soon he had killed them all, including Adrol."

"Suddenly, a great, black arm was thrust out of the darkness and into his chest. The fist dug around in his chest, and pulled out the Prowler's heart. The hand withdrew back into the darkness with the heart, and the laughter grew louder and more sinister."

In all truth, I would rather you amend your ways and see you remain here on the boards as a contributer to the great story of Aeterna, but if you do not see the error of your ways, or refuse to change your characters (Don't think we don't know who everybody is...) to more reasonable standards of storytelling, then we will be forced to take a more aggressive stand against you in the form of banning your IP address from accessing the boards. Not only that, but we would delete both of your characters' accounts and eliminate your posts from the story threads. Note however that this is not a threat. This is your choice, Sir Prowler. Choose wisely, and post your reply to the charges, or other choices, in this thread.
